Bonneville Salt Flats

So, have you ever wondered what the "Tree of Utah" looks like?

Here you go.. located 95 miles west of Salt Lake City or 25 miles east of Wendover. It was created by a Swedish artist named Karl Momen and is 87 feet high. He was moved to create the tree by the "vastness and emptiness' of the Bonneville Salt Flats and thought the tree would bring space, nature, myth and technology together.
Hummm.....

Sabuchan and Fumiko thought it was very interesting.

Sabuchan has been waiting a long time to see the Bonneville Salt Flats.Being a geologist, he thought it was fascinating.

Please don't make fun of my hat! Oh, check out the salt
surfer behind us...

The salt flats are a remnant of the ancient lake Bonneville of glacial times. Many high speed race cars use the salt flats for racing and breaking land speed records.
